About Minami Circle
Minami Circle is a volunteer group founded in 1977. We support the idea of international exchange between people as suggested by the late Mr. Nagasu, former governor of Kanagawa Prefecture. For the last 31 years, supported by Kanagawa International Foundation, we have learned each otherfs culture and life style among the members who were from more than 15 countries. Japanese members have tried to let the foreign members understand our general ways of living and thinking, and have made efforts to make foreign membersf lives more comfortable.
Number of the members
Japanese regular members: 51
Non-Japanese
Regular members: 62(in 2010)
Most of the foreign members are wives of employees posted to Japan, living around Yokohama. Most Japanese members are also housewives.
We celebrated the 30th anniversary last year. About 20 former members visited from abroad to join the anniversary to renew our friendship. Through our web site we can keep in touch and have re-union meetings some places in the world.
Part of the profits from our annual bazaar are donated to
Hope International Development Agency Japan.
