This year, the Minami Circle held its annual fundraiser at Yokohama International School on Sunday 9th November. The funds collected at this event will be donated to charity and part of them will also be used for running the club.
It was a cold and cloudy day to start with but that did not dampen the spirits of the club members who organised roadside stalls to sell Japanese and German food, a range of yummy cakes, drinks, jewellery, Japanese crafts and much more.
Inside the building, bargain hunters were treated to a range of old and new kimonos, obis, clothes, Indian apparel, accessories and above all glassware, china, baskets, paintings, Japanese dolls and many other knick knacks at throw away price.
The spirit of the day was not dampened with the light drizzle that started around noon and the Raffle Draw was a huge success with many of us standing under the umbrella and hoping for our number to be called out. Though not everyone was lucky, several people delightfully, walked away, with many prizes!
Everyone who came enjoyed shopping, eating or simply being a part of a noble cause.
Heartfelt thanks to all the members who worked hard to make this event a success!
