The Minami Circle has been practicing " People to people" activities for 50th years

南サークルは、「市民レベルの国際交流」を推進したいという数人の女性の強い熱意によって、1977年に設立されました。この設立時の思いに共感する日本人メンバーと、様々な国から来日された方々が共に南サークルのメンバーとして、異文化に対する認識や理解を深めるための様々な活動を行っています。地球上に住む私たち一人一人の、より豊かな、生き生きとした生活の実現を目指して！

Minami Circle started in 1977 with a small group of Japanese members who were keen to promote “people-to-people” interaction with foreign residents. Our aim is to learn about each other's culture and
to foster international friendship through its activities, which we believe makes our lives richer and more enjoyable.

南サークルでは、お互いの文化や生活習慣を学ぶために、月1回　日本や参加メンバーの国の伝統文化を伝える催し物や旅行を、メンバーによる企画・運営のもと開催しています。さらに、サークル内には9の活動グループ（ホビーグループ）があります。メンバーは好きなグループに参加し、趣味や、社会貢献活動を通じて交流を続けています。

We at Minami Circle organise monthly events and trips to learn more about the other cultures.
There are 9 groups in the circle. Members within each group undertake a range
of hobbies and activities to help local communities, in order to deepen friendship
with each other.
